Tarantulas on the Trail!

Today Mom and I hiked about 2 miles from the top of Menaul, up into the side of  the hill and and back down along the north side of the water tower. It took us about an hour and a half, that's with a couple of rest breaks. We saw 2 tarantulas on the trail. I don't remember ever seeing any on this trail before in the many many years we've hiked it. It was a special treat, along with the beautiful flowers.
