Training for La Luz

 Wednesday, October 15, 2025 Today we hiked at the top of Indian School for almost 2 hours and covered about 2.4 miles. My friend Christie joined us. It was sort of hot for October, and it felt like more work than usual. I think the best part was pizza and gelato afterwards, at a place that was new to us, Gimani in Winrock Center.

  Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 Today Mom and I hiked about 2 miles from the top of Menaul, up into the side of  the hill and and back down along the north side of the water tower. It took us about an hour and a half, that's with a couple of rest breaks. We saw 2 tarantulas on the trail. I don't remember ever seeing any on this trail before in the many many years we've hiked it. It was a special treat, along with the beautiful flowers.
